{Granny Square Motif}
I am crocheting a new granny square pillow for our living room! I decided to make the center of the granny square in bright colors and crochet the rest in this blue-greyish color! Granny squares are always so much fun to make! These particular ones are easy and can be modified, e.g. you may stop at round 3 or make XL squares since the pattern is adjustable to fit any measurement and liking!:)
MATERIALS:
- yarn in any colors you like
- 4 mm (G) crochet hook
- Yarn needle
Ch 4, sl.st. and join into ring
R1: ch3, 2 dc in ring, *ch1, 3 dc in ring *rep 2 times from*
sl.st. to 3rd ch from starting ch
End of Round 1
If desidered attach new color:
R2:Sl.st. back into ch1 space (ch3, 2dc, ch1, 3 dc) in same space, * (3dc, ch1, 3dc) * in next space, rep from* twice, ch1 , sl st to 3rd ch from beg ch.
End of Round 2
R3: Sl.st back into ch space, (ch3, 2dc) in same space, * (3dc, ch1, 3dc) into corner space, (ch 1, 3dc) into next space*, rep from * twice, (3dc, ch 1, 3dc) in corner space, ch 1 and sl st to 3rd ch from beg ch.
End of Round 3
R4: Sl. st back into ch1 space, (ch 3, 2dc) in same space, (ch1, 3dc) in each space along side, (3dc, ch1, 3dc) in corner space, repeat around.
If you want to make your square larger repeat last round as desired. Fasten off.
