Festive Crochet Santa Hat
Christmas is just a few weeks away and we have all started our Christmas shopping or our Christmas crafting for our loved ones! It's that time of the year where inspiration for packaging or gift ideas is sought throughout the web! I particularly love this kind of activity and pretty much every other afternoon I engage myself to such browsing!:) If you haven't already I have compiled a 20 Crochet Gift Ideas post to inspire you!
If you are planning on gifting some amigurumi why not make them more Christmassy by making them a super cute Santa hat which will add a bit of that merry spirit!:)
Pedro's hat was made to fit his head circumference but it's pretty easy to adjust the measurements to any head size (human or amigurumi) by increasing the stitches and the rounds! I used a 4mm (G) hook and worsted weight yarn in red and white!
Santa Amigurumi Hat
With red and 4mm (G) hook:
R1: Ch 2 then make 6 sc in second ch from hook (6)
R2: *sc, inc in next st* repeat from* 2 times (9)
R3: sc in each st around (9)
R4: *2 sc, inc in next st* repeat from* 2 times (12)
R5: sc in each st around (12)
R6: *3 sc, inc in next st* repeat from* 2 times (15)
R7: sc in each st around (15)
R8: *4 sc, inc in next st* repeat from* 2 times (18)
R9: sc in each st around (18)
R10: *5 sc, inc in next st* repeat from* 2 times (21)
R11: sc in each st around (21)
R12: *6 sc, inc in next st* repeat from* 2 times (24)
R13: sc in each st around (24)
R14: *7 sc, inc in next st* repeat from* 2 times (27)
R15: sc in each st around (27)
R16: *8 sc, inc in next st* repeat from* 2 times (30)
R17: sc in each st around (30)
R18: *9 sc, inc in next st* repeat from* 2 times (33)
R19: sc in each st around (33)
R20: *10 sc, inc in next st* repeat from* 2 times (36)
R21: sc in each st around (36)

Change to white yarn:
R30-35: sc in each st around (39)
Fasten off. Make a pom pom and attach to top of head. Enjoy your festive Santa hat!
Note: This pattern can be adjusted to fit any head circumference! Just continue increasing!
