There's nothing like a great knit hat to keep you going through winter.  I've been a huge fan of beanies and I like to have many in different colors and styles!

This beanie would also work well as a last minute gift or a stocking stuffer! The decorative possibilities are also endless, as you could add a pom pom or even attach some gems, or make it two toned!
Here’s how I did it if you would like to give it a try.

Size US 15 (10.0 mm) knitting knitting needles
1 Stitch Marker
Tapestry Needle
Bulky weight yarn ( I used Drops Andes in medium grey 8465)

Size as written best fits heads between 21-24 inches in circumference; however, pattern can be easily adjusted for smaller or larger sizes

With grey CO 48 sts
Row 1: *K1, P1, repeat from * to end
Row 2: *P1, K1, repeat from * to end
Rows 3-8: repeat Rows 1 & 2
Row 9: K all sts
Row 10: P all sts
Continue in ST ST until hat measures 10.5" (27 cm) from CO edge
Next Row: K2tog to end (24 sts remain on needles)
Bind off, leaving a long piece of yarn and use your tapestry needles to sew the sides together.
That's it!

If you decide to make it let me know by sharing a picture on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!
Wishing you all a lovely new week!

  1. Hey! I am a beginner and im absolutey horrible at reading patterns! When you use the abbreviation ST ST are you referring to stockinette stitch right? And K2tog is to knit two stictches together? Correct?
