HOOK A STITCH: CABLE STITCH

I love the texture behind the crochet cable stitch!

It's a simple stitch pattern worked in double crochet and single crochet stitches but gives such a beautiful outcome! This stitch would be perfect for a blanket!

Abbreviations

st(s) – stitch(es)

rep – repeat 

beg – beginning 

sk – skip

rep – repeat

ch – chain stitch

sc – single crochet

dc – double crochet

Foundation

Chain a multiple of 4+2 sts (add 1 st for foundation chain).

Notes

Ch 3 at beg of Row counts as dc.

Ch 1 at beg of Row does not count as st.

Pattern

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn.

Row 2: Ch3, * sk next st, dc in next 3 sts, dc in sk st, rep from * to last st, dc in last st, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn

Repeat Rows 2+3 for pattern
