Amigurumi Batman & Catwoman Carnival Costumes
Every year at the end of February the Carnival season begins! Everybody celebrate and dress up in fancy costumes! This year I decided to participate in the celebrations by dressing up two of my favorite amigurumi! Pedro the bear goes as Batman and Bunny goes as his partner cat woman. I enjoyed making both of them as the process of designing their costumes was so fun! Whether you celebrate the Carnival or not I hope you enjoy these projects!:)
Batman Pattern
Materials4mm (G) crochet hook
black yarn
yellow felt
For Pedro you will follow my basic amigurumi teddy pattern. Using eyelash yarn you will only make his head and ears; all other body parts are made using black yarn.
Hat
With black and 4mm (G) hook:R1: Ch 2 then make 6 sc in second ch from hook (6)
R2: 2 sc in each stitch around (12)
R3: 1 sc , 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (18)
R4: 2 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (24)
R5: 3 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (30)
R6: 4 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (36)
R7: 5 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (42)
R8: 6 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (48)
R9: sc 8, ch8, sk 6 sts and sl st in next to create ear opening. Sc in next 286 sts, ch8, sk 6 sts and sl st in next to create ear opening. (48)
R10-16: sc in each st around (48)
R17: 1sc, 1hdc,1dc, 2 tr, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, and sc in remaining sts (48)
R18: sc in each st around ( 48)
Fasten off.
Ears (make 4)
With black and 4mm (G) hook:
R1: ch 7 and sc in 2nd ch from hook (6)
R2-11: sc in each st, turn, ch1 (6)
R12: scdec, sc2, scdec, turn, ch 1 (4)
R13: sc in each st, turn, ch 1 (4)
R14: scdec twice, turn, ch 1 (2)
R15: sc in each st turn, ch 1 (2)
R16: scdec . turn, ch1 (1)
R17: sc 1
Fasten off. You will make 4 such pieces. Take two and sew them together. Repeat for other ear and attach to sides of hat.
Cape:
With black and 4mm (G) hook:
R1: ch 11 and sc in 2nd ch from hook (10)
R2-11: sc in each st, turn, ch1 (10)
Fasten off. Sew to back of body.
Belt and Batman Logo:
Using yellow felt cut a stripe as his belt and a batman logo. Attach to front of body.
Cat woman Pattern
Materials
4mm (G) crochet hook
black yarn
white embroidery thread
4mm (G) crochet hook

For Bunny you will follow my amigurumi bunny pattern. Using brown yarn you will only make her head and ears; all other body parts are made using black yarn.
Hat
With black and 4mm (G) hook:R1: Ch 2 then make 6 sc in second ch from hook (6)
R2: 2 sc in each stitch around (12)
R3: 1 sc , 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (18)
R4: 2 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (24)
R5: 3 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (30)
R6: 4 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (36)
R7: 5 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (42)
R8: 6 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (48)
R9: sc 8, ch8, sk 6 sts and sl st in next to create ear opening. Sc in next 286 sts, ch8, sk 6 sts and sl st in next to create ear opening. (48)
R10-13: sc in each st around (48)
R14: Leave 4 sts unworked and 1sc, 1hdc,1dc, 1 tr, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, sc 2 and repeat for other eye, sc in remaining sts. * the eyes are positioned right under the ear opening.*
R15: sc in each st around ( 48)
R16: sc in each st around but make 3 sc in the lower center of the eye to make it pointy.
Fasten off.
Ears (make 4)
With black and 4mm (G) hook:
R1: ch 3 and sc in 2nd ch from hook (3)
R2: 2sc in each st around (6)
R3: *1 sc, 2 sc in next,* repeat from *3 times (9)
R4: *2 sc, 2 sc in next,* repeat from *3 times (12)
R5: *3 sc, 2 sc in next,* repeat from *3 times (15)
Fasten off. Attach under bunny ears.
Using white yarn embroider some stitches to resemble cat woman's costume.
