Amigurumi Despicable Me Minion
Minions are so popular right now! I decided to give it a try and crochet one myself! I am really happy with the result, although a lot of trial and error occurred as I really wanted the proportions to be exact! Searching the web I found out that there are many like a gazillion versions of minion faces but the main proportion characters are two! A taller and a shorter one! I went for the taller version! As said details come in a variety but for now I decided to make a one goggle version and a happy one!:)

Materials
4mm (G) and 3mm (E) crochet hook
yellow, blue, grey, black, white and brown yarn
black embroidey thread
2 buttons
stiffener for the hair (optional)
Body:

R3: 1 sc , 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 5 times (18)

Repeat the exact same for back of overalls by attaching new yarn by leaving 12 sts unworked on both sides.

Straps:
Make 2
With blue and 4mm (G) hook
R1: ch 25, hdc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, leaving 8 sts unworked at the end (this will be your buttonhole), ss in next and fasten off.
Sew on both sides of overall. Remember to add 2 buttons to his overalls on the front side, right where your buttonhole is.
Pocket:
With blue and 3mm (E) hook:
R1: Ch 2 then make 3 sc in second ch from hook (3)
R2: 2 sc in each stitch around (6)
R3: ch 1, turn and sc across both sides. (6)
Fasten off and sew on front part of overalls.
Embroider a G letter with black embroidery thread.
Fingers & Arms:
Fingers-Make 6 / Arms-Make2
With black and 3 mm (E) hook:
R1: Ch 2 then make 4 sc in second ch from hook (4)
R2-3: sc in each stitch around (4)
Fasten off.
Grab two fingers attach new yarn and sc around both by joining them with sc st (8)
R4: sc in each st around (8)
R5-6: repeat R4

R18: dec, repeat 2 times (4)
Fasten off and sew under the strap. Sew on the remaining finger (thumb). Repeat for other arm.

Glove ending:
With black and 3 mm (E) hook:
Ch 8, fasten off and sew where black yarn meets yellow on hands/arms.
Shoes & Legs:

R2: 1 sc, 2 sc in next st, repeat 2 times (9)

Fasten off and sew onto bottom part of overalls.
Eye:
With black and 4 mm (E) hook:
R1: Ch 2 then make 3 sc in second ch from hook (3)
Change to brown
R2: 2 sc in each st around (6)
Change to white
R3: 2 sc in each around (12)
R4: 2 sc in each st around (24)
Fasten off.
Goggles
With grey and 4 mm (E) hook:
R1: ch 25 and ss to form a ring
R2: dc in each st around (25)
Fasten off.
Goggle Strap:
With black and 4 mm (E) hook:
R1: ch 32 and sc in ech st around (32)
Sew on the 10-11 row. Sew the gogle in the middle of the black strap and sew the eye inside the grey goggle.
Hair:
Cut some strands of black yarn and attach to upper part of body. If you want you can use some stiffener to make them stand!
