2017 FAVORITE PROJECTS

This year is quickly coming to a close and so I thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of the favorite posts from the year. I’ve compiled this list from each month’s favorites, and it was really fun for me to look back on these projects! So here goes:
This Tweed Rib scarf pattern was one of my favorites; knitted in the most lovely shade!
I shared these cute amigurumi elephants; one of the easiest amigurumi to make ever!
The blog featured a lot of guest bloggers with fun projects this year! Check them out here!
I also knitted my first pair of socks!
This geometric pillow was really fun to make!
I also released the Stroller baby blanket; I love these colors together!
Gimme all the pineapples! The ultimate summer pillow pattern!
The Barton blanket is my favorite one to cuddle up!
This ribbed beanie is fairly easy to make; grab your hook!
Oh my, do I love a nice scarf/shawl! I had such fun working on this ombre one!

WOOL AND THE GANG HEART OF MINE JUMPER KIT

There is nothing like finding a bag filled with beautiful wool on your doorstep, especially when it is from Wool and the Gang!
Now that the days are getting shorter, evenings spent crocheting or knitting a few rows of a new sweater project sound perfect to me. I have already started working on the Heart of Mine Jumper kit and am loving it so far! I can't wait to ee the final result. The wool is so soft, too. This is going to be one cozy sweater!
The yarn, Crazy Sexy Wool, is 100% wool and new to me. I have never worked with it before and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. It’s really soft when crocheted, it’s nicely stretching on the hook,  it doesn’t loose fibers on your lap while working it, and it is very warm.
WATG recently released this new shade (Duck Egg Blue) of their Crazy Sexy Wool, which is absolutely stunning! I immediately fell in love upon seing it as lately I am a huge fan of a minty color pallete!
The pattern is really easy to follow. It's a great beginner sweater project for sure and it would definitely make a lovely gift for Xmas! I can't wait to finish my sweater and show it to you!
Enjoy the rest of your day!

BOOK REVIEW: ROUND AND ROUND THE CROCHET HOOK

I’m really excited to share this book review, “Round and Round the Crochet Hook” – by Emily Littlefair, published by Tuva Publishing.  Inside you will find great patterns to inspire you, all of which are made in a round. I really love working in the round, so I immediately felt connected to the patterns inside!
Emily is a talented crocheter with an eye for beautiful colour combinations. Her book is one of my favorite titles this year. There are 19 designs to choose from; you can find a great selection of designs ranging from quick makes that can be made in an afternoon such as the coasters or mandalas or to larger projects such as a floor rug or blanket (Winnie's Wonderland is a must try).
I chose her Flower Petals Cushion and it was one of my favorite makes ever! I went with an anthracite colored yarn I had in my stash and a 6mm hook and the result is absolutely stunning! I really love the contrast it creates against the white pillow form! All designs are also accompanied by well written instructions and charts, and each project is beautifully styled and photographed with several shots showing the item from differnt angles!
It really is a great book! You can have a sneak peek at more of the lovely projects inside the book or order yourself a copy of Round and Round The Crochet Hook over at Amazon !
Well that’s it for me today, now I hand you over to the lovely Sandra of MoebiusGirl Design for her review tomorrow.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
