New Crochet Project

It's a new month, so it's time for a new crochet project!:)

I am so excited to dive into a new crocheting experience, crocheting a piece of clothing! I decided to kick off this new month by getting started on this tank top! I have been searching for a tank top pattern for quite a time now, and when a stumbled across this Surfer Tank Top pattern I knew I wanted to give it a try! It primarily consists of basic stitches, hdc and sc, crocheted all in back loops, which creates a  fabulous texture! It's the perfect project to work on as I relax during the afternoon /evening!

So far the top is coming along great! I decided to go with one color (raspberry), as I didn't like the stripes so much plus I think I am going to try to make the top a little bit longer than the pattern. So far I have crocheted the basic body pattern and I need to finish the front and back sections.  I can’t wait to wear the finished product. I think it will look cute with simple jeans and flip flops for the summer. I will definitely share my progress!

What projects are you working on right now? I would love to see!

  1. This is brilliant and looks so delicate. Do you need a lot of patience with the stitches? I am so apprehensive about crocheting clothing, even though I really want to, because I think I will fail and it will put me off. I am loving your colour choice too, and the ribbed bottom has a knitted effect x
