For the back of the pillow, I crocheted 2 pieces using double crochet and overlapped them to create an envelope style back (it's easier to take the pillow out and wash the cover). I was thinking of adding some buttons but I finally rejected that idea. I used a 4mm hook for the back as well as and joined everything by single crocheting the pieces together.
I just love your pillow! Super pretty with those bright coloured squares!!
