{Spring Awaits...}

Spring has still not come... This was a rainy week, almost everyday it was raining! :( Indoors, spring has definitely made its appearance. I am working on a new crochet project, making some more Amigurumi bunny pops and will be making some Crochet Cacti!

Also, I am now a .com! YAY! I got my own domain, littlethingsblogged and I have to say that it was super simple to change from blogspot to a custom domain. And the cool thing is, since Blogger is still hosting the blog, all of the links still work exactly the same! Blogger forwards all of the old links to the new domain.

How was your week? Are you doing anything fun this weekend?
I hope you have a great Friday! :)

Today is a national holiday here in Greece, which means time to relax! Yay! This weekend was very crafty. I finished my granny square pillow and completed a last minute Easter crochet project!

At the end of the month I will be participating in a local fair/bazaar event, which means I will have to crochet a lot! So happy to participate!

P.S. Happy Easter to all. The Greek Easter is celebrated in May, so I still have plenty time to prepare for it!
Happy Monday!

{Granny Square Pillow}

Last week I was crocheting granny squares! I made 16 squares and joined them using the single crochet method. I think I like this method the best, as I love the "divider" line it creates between the squares! My finished pillow measures 38x38cm approx. 15x15inches.

For the back of the pillow, I crocheted 2 pieces using double crochet and overlapped them to create an envelope style back (it's easier to take the pillow out and wash the cover). I was thinking of adding some buttons but I finally rejected that idea. I used a 4mm hook for the back as well as and joined everything by single crocheting the pieces together.

Do you like my new pillow? Happy Sunday to all!

{Moving on...}

You might already know that Google Reader is being shut down later this year. Google Friend Connect will be gone too, but I guess we still can be friends, right?

Bloglovin: I have had a Bloglovin account for quite a long time and already follow most blogs through there. I have transferred my google reader feed over to Bloglovin (using this simple link). I know that some of you already follow me there and I noticed an amount of people switching over this week (Thanks!)

Hellocotton: I also use Hellocotton.  Hellocotton has great options available, as to comment, fave a project or even write messages on other people's pages! Cool huh?

I also post new blog links on Facebook and Twitter!
What do you guys use? I'm interested in hearing what you prefer and also any tips or advice you may have.

{Crochetlings and a Knitting Challenge!}

My granny pillow is coming along quite quickly! I have almost finished joining them, using the single crochet method! I started crocheting the back of the pillow but unfortunately I ran out of yarn yesterday!!:(

I also finished some accessories for my amigurumi. I crocheted a simple scarf for the teddy and I embellished the bunny with some bows! Yay!

The panda bear also got an accessory! I made him a little blue hat!

Yep, in the last photo you can see my beginner adventures in knitting! I learned how to cast on! Believe me it was not easy! Knitting has always seemed as a difficult process but I think I'll give it a try! Wish me luck!:)

What have you been up to?

{Amigurumi Bunny and Teddy Bear}

A very good friend of mine asked if I could make an amigurumi set and more specifically a bunny and a teddy bear. The bunny was made with my bunny pattern, but I decided to make some adjustments to the ears and use a larger hook to make it a bit bigger.. The teddy was made with my teddy pattern and again I used a larger hook since I used mohair yarn.

Bunny Ears
R1: Ch 2 then make 6 sc in second ch from hook (6)
R2: 2 sc in each stitch around (12)
R3: 1 sc , 2 sc in next stitch, repeat 6 times (18)
R4-14: sc around (18)
Fasten off and attach to the head.

For both patterns: (4 mm for head body and ears, 3mm for legs and arms.)
I still have to add some embelishments, I was thinking a bow for the bunny and a hat for the teddy! I wll let you know what I make!
