{Crochet Card Holder}

A friend asked if I could crochet a card holder so that the business cards could be organised.
So, I grabbed my hook and whipped up a small cosy. It was made in less than an hour and I also used the tapestry crochet techinique to add the little yellow triangle on the top of the cosy.

MATERIALS:
  • 3mm crochet hook
  • 100 % cotton yarn (any colour will do, I used blue and yellow)
  • yarn needle
PATTERN:
R1: chain 12 and scinc in the second chain from hook. Then sc up to the last stitch and make another scinc.
Turn to the other side of your chain and scinc in the same stitch, sc up to the last stich and make another scinc, slst to starting chain and chain 1.
R2: sc in first stitch, sc inc in next and sc up to the last stitch. Scinc in last, 2 sc, scinc again, and sc up to the two last stitches, scinc, sc, slst to starting chain and chain 1.
R3- 17: Now you will be crocheting in the round. Sc all around and sl to starting chain and chain 1.
R18: Sc 3, change to yellow and sc 4. Change to blue again and continue sc around, slst to starting chain and chain 1.
R19: Sc 4, change to yellow and sc 3.Change to blue again and continue sc around, slst to starting chain and chain 1.
R20: Sc 5,change to yellow and sc 2.Change to blue again and continue sc around, slst to starting chain and chain 1.
R21: Sc 6, change to yellow and sc 1.Change to blue again and continue sc around, slst to starting chain and chain 1.
R22: With blue sc all around and fasten off.

How to change colors:
Stitch up to 2 stiches before you are supposed to change colors. In the next stitch (the last one of your current color), do not pull the final loop through, instead, loop the new color around your needle, and pull the loop through. Now, just stitch as normal.
I hope the pattern makes sense. Unfortunately I didn't count my stitches but since it is crocheting in the round I guses it won't matter a lot. If you want you can add more triangles to your project, but  I chose to go with a more minimal design!:)
Enjoy your weekend!
