{Amigurumi Mushroom}

Apart from writing up my Kokeshi Doll pattern, and making some teddies I found time to create a new amigurumi pattern for a mushroom!
The pattern is easy and can be whipped up in less than an hour!

MATERIALS:
  • 3mm crochet hook
  • yarn (any colour will do)
  • yarn needle
MUSHROOM PATTERN:
Stem:
With white and 3mm hook:
R1: Ch 2 then make 6 sc in second ch from hook (6)
R2: 2 sc in each stitch around (12)
R3: 1 sc , 2 sc in next stitch, (18)
R4: sc around tbl only (18)
R5: 1 dec, 1 sc,  (12)
R6: 1 dec, 2 sc in next stitch (9)
R7-11: sc around (9)
Stuff your mushroom stem,  fasten off and weave in ends.

Under cap:
With pink and 3mm hook:
R1: Ch 2 then make 6 sc in second ch from hook (6)
R2: 2 sc in each stitch around (12)
R3: 1 sc , 2 sc in next stitch, (18)
R4: 2 sc, 2 sc in next stitch (24)
R5: 3 sc, 2 sc in next stitch (30)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Cap:
With blue and 3mm hook:
R1: Ch 2 then make 6 sc in second ch from hook (6)
R2: sc around (6)
R3: 2 sc in each stitch around (12)
R4:sc around (12)
R5: 1 sc , 2 sc in next stitch, (18)
R6: 2 sc, 2 sc in next stitch (24)
R7: 3 sc, 2 sc in next stitch (30)
R8-9: sc around
Do NOT fasten off but take under cap and join with cap by crocheting through both back loops, stuff before closing the final stitches, fasten off and weave in ends.

Join your stem with the mushroom's upper part by sewing them together. That's it!
Optional: Add eyes and a face or make a chain and attach it to the mushroom so that you can hang it up!
